About Ruby Moons

Hello, river friends!

First and foremost, thank you to everyone for the support, especially those who have already ordered (yours will be on its way soon!), as I launch this little homegrown business on Colorado’s Western Slope. Ruby Moons HQ is in Paonia. The rounds are sewn by Josh at Wrought Supply down in Hesperus. Go check out his work; he’s a great guy and does beautiful sewing.

Ruby Moons is simple in concept, but there are a lot of moving parts, and the learning curve has been fun as I rediscover my entrepreneurial, outdoor-industry muscles. Josh has been very patient with me through the prototypes while I learn about fabric, suppliers, and the supply chain.

It’s also a bit of a family business. Sara and Lene are my color and style mavens (I’m red-green colorblind). Max is my go-to for all things Shopify, web, and social media. Dylan, Max’s business partner and best friend, has gone above and beyond helping with content and guiding this boomer through the currents and eddies of social media.

Something new: Josh and I are working on a prototype for the Ruby Half Moon, designed to work with duffle-style dry bags. Stay tuned.
